We are the Chisholm Trail Division which is part of the Mid-Continent Region of the National Model Railroader Association.

We hold a monthly meeting at 7 pm on the first Tuesday of each month. Meetings are held at the Olivet Baptist Church, 3440 West 13th St. North, Wichita, Kansas. We usually begin gathering at around 6:45pm. Interested in being a part of our group? Please drop in and be our guest.

We have a MODULAR HO LAYOUT which we operate at area train shows

Photos from our 2023 annual holiday dinner and gift exchange.

Being a part of our Chisholm Trail Division within the Mid-Continent Region of the NMRA, we enjoy going on outings during the course of the year. In April 2023 we visited the Kansas Learning Center for Health in Halstead, Kansas. It just so happens there is a beautiful HO model railroad display as part of the exhibits. The level of detail was awesome and each member of our group were very impressed. Their website is www.learningcenter.org.

At the January 2nd meeting of the Chisholm Trail Division we learned about constructing Mini Dioramas. Each member in attendance was given a blank Mini Styrofoam diorama with a N gauge track attached. Each person was asked to design and theme the diorama.  There was a variety of materials to select from and apply. The participants creativeness was amazing and the results were marvelous. Some used paper towels from the restroom and Styrofoam cups as part of their landscaping.

Once the dioramas were complete and dry they were connected together. See all of our creations our members made at the meeting.

We hope to have children attending the February 3rd and 4th Train Show at the Cessna Activity Center decorate a mini diorama and take it home with them.
